Two ingredients. No cooking. No prep. One awesome appetizer!! Prosciutto Melone is one of the most famous pairings in Italy yet you hardly ever see it on menus here! It's so tasty and so different, it will definitely stand out from the rest of the appetizers at your next party.
If you've never had this, you need to try it. The melon is so sweet and the saltiness of the prosciutto are perfect together. Just make sure you buy the cantaloupe when it's in season. You definitely need a good one that's ripe.
The best thing you can use to scoop the melon is a melon scooper. I had no idea these things even existed but I ordered this one from Amazon that was cheap and it worked perfectly. They are also great for making mini meatballs!
Okay so here's the really difficult 'recipe':
cut your cantaloupe in half. Using a mellon baller, scoop out the flesh of the cantaloupe.
wrap in prosciutto and use a toothpick to secure it
